It's time for a Silly Wombat Game™ (SWG).

In this game, you post an image that somehow "tops" or "beats" the image in the previous post. For example, if I post a picture of a pair of scissors, the next person might post a picture of a rock (which beats scissors by the rock-paper-scissors game rules). Or they might post a picture of some fancier scissors. Or they might post a picture of a chainsaw (which is like scissors on steroids). To tie this into the languaage, you also have to say what the object is in Irish. If you feel up to it, you might also explain in Irish why your image beats the previous one.

To start things off, seo peann luaidhe:

I was wondering when we'd have one! I have just spent the last few minutes trying to copy and paste a giant pencil but can't. :bash:
(There's a sentence you don't say everyday - never mind that king versus farmer debate going on elsewhere!)

How do I add a picture to my post. As when dealing with my Irish grammar, keep it simple, please!

The link to the image has to go between two img tags, like this:

One way to do this is to use the "Img" button.

Tá peann luaidhe mór agat ach tá mo pheann luaidhe níos mó.
You have a big pencil but my pencil is bigger.

Fixed the image for you. When you Google images and click on the result, you have to click on “View full size”, and then copy the address. Otherwise, you’re copying the address of an entire page that just happens to have the picture in the middle, and it won’t show up here because it itself is a page, not an image. :)

(Sneaky girl, deleting her post! Well, I’m keeping mine, so THERE!)

Maireann scríobh níos faide leis an peann ná an peann luaidhe.

Koko, you are unbelievably quick! I thought I had made a complete mess of it and so deleted it to try again rather than clog up the page with my bungled efforts! I hardly had time to breathe and you had it copied and sorted!

Tá an ríomhaire níos éasca ná an clóscríobhán.

Ach tá an ceann seo i bhfad níos ‘ard-teic’ ná ceann s’agatsa:
