I thought this would be in the archives, but it seems the forum has never discussed this.
Of course you could translate this literally: tabhair grá dom féin agus dom mhadra chómh maith. But is there anything more idiomatic?

Ó Dónaill's dictionary has: máṡ ionúin an chráin is ionúin an t-ál leis. (If the sow is dear to you, so must the litter be - which is not the same as "love me love my dog").
Ó Dónaill also has: An té a bhuailfeadh mo mhadra bhuailfeadh sé mé féin - which does not translate this literally either (he who hits my dog hits me).
